Action you can take now

A WHS parent has asked who you can contact NOW with concerns relating to the school and also the academy application. In addition to Tony Cohen, chair of governors, via
achieve@worthinghigh.w-sussex.sch.uk,  you can email the following key people at West Sussex County Council:

Peter.griffiths@westsussex.gov.uk - Cabinet Member for Education and Schools
david.sword@westsussex.gov.uk - Director of learning at WSCC

It's important to send your thoughts and concerns to them now, while it is still possible to halt this process.

As an academy, the school would be independent from West Sussex County Council. Any concerns that can not be resolved with the school's governing body, would have to be taken up with The Department for Education. Good luck with that!
